About the role

Provide medical ophthalmological care to patients within ambulatory clinics, focusing on conditions and disorders of the eye and visual pathways. The role involves practicing sound clinical judgment based on evidence-based medicine and potentially operating with residents.

Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join our growing team of providers. This individual will provide ophthalmological care to patients in the Ambulatory Clinics.

Your office-based practice will focus on ophthalmic for patients.

A non-surgical position, although there are opportunities to operate with residents if desired.

Provides reasonable and prudent medical care, practices appropriate management, and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidence-based medicine.

The Ophthalmologist provides medical services within the scope of their licensing, training, and credentialing.

You will address conditions, illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the eye, including its related structures and visual pathways.

Summary Provides reasonable and prudent medical/surgical care, practices appropriate management, and uses sound clinical judgment based on best practice standards and evidence-based medicine.

The Physician provides medical services within the scope of their licensing, training, and credentialing.

Experience with Pain Management, using EPIC.

Bilingual or Multilingual preferred but not required.

Comfortable working with the underserved community.

Qualifications

Education

Degree from an accredited Medical School. Documented completion of Residency training from an accredited institution. CPR Certification is required.

Experience

Board Certification or Board Eligibility. (Board certification must be attained within the timeframe dictated by one’s specialty in order to remain on staff at the CS-HHC if one was originally board-eligible at the time of one’s hire.) Connecticut Licensure. Admitting privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital, HSR, and/or Griffin Hospital as indicated.

Requirements
