The Professional Fee Surgical Coding Specialist III will collaborate with various departments to code, review, and release charges in a timely manner. This role ensures correct coding, billing compliance, and complete charge capture.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of surgical coding experience and hold a relevant coding certification. Knowledge of coding guidelines and prior experience with Electronic Health Records is also required.
3 years of Surgical coding experience in a healthcare position. Coding Certification – one of the following: CPC-Certified Professional Coder - American Board of Professional Coders CCS-P-Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based - American Health Information Management Association CCS-Certified Coding Specialist - American Health Information Management Association RHIT-Registered Health Information Technician - American Health Information Management Association
Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines. Working knowledge of CCI edits, healthcare insurance guidelines and other regulatory guidance. Specialty Coding knowledge. Prior use of an Electronic Health Record. Epic experience preferred. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment and solve problems effectively. Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
