Requirements summary
Candidates must be a high school graduate and a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology school. ARRT registry and AHA-BLS-HCP certification are required, with CT registration mandatory within one year of hire.
Healthcare: Up to $30,000 new hire sign on bonus and up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available. The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients. The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required. Evaluates and positions patients. Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned. May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.
