About the role

The Radiologic Tech performs radiology procedures as ordered by the physician. This includes preparing and positioning patients, performing imaging procedures, and monitoring equipment.

General Summary: Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physician

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patient for procedure by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
  • Perform Routine Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Procedures using fixed and portable imaging equipment.
  • Answering phones
  • Minimum Typing
  • Monitor equipment.
  • Request supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

Registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists along with 1 year experience

State licensure required.

Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.

Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.

Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Demonstrate and apply knowledge of principles of radiation safety

Ability to work well with others and independently

Provide excellent patient care while utilizing critical thinking skills

Adheres to clinic’s policies and procedures.

Education

• Successful completion of accredited radiologic technologist program.

Requirements

Candidates must be registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and have at least one year of experience. A state licensure is also required along with the successful completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
