The technologist operates CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis and performs various imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Responsibilities also include assessing patient care across age ranges, producing reformatted images, using PACS, and maintaining accurate records and equipment.
Candidates are required to have ARRT registration and Advanced Certification in CT, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred, and state-specific licenses like Fluoroscopy and Venipuncture certification are preferred in certain states.
