About the role

The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medications according to physician orders and regulations, while also providing drug information and counseling to patients and staff. Key duties include monitoring medication therapies for safety, managing pharmacy inventory, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Position overview

Inabia is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a Critical Access healthcare facility. This role requires a highly responsible and independent professional who is comfortable working alone and managing pharmacy operations independently while ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate efficiently in a small facility environment.

Key responsibilities

Accurately review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy regulations.

Provide medication counseling and drug information to patients and healthcare staff.

Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.

Monitor medication therapies for safety, interactions, and appropriate dosing.

Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree.
  • Active Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
  • Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations alone in a critical access facility.

  • Previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.

Additional Information

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts.

Work Environment: Critical Access Facility.

Housing: Possible affordable housing options available ($500–$600 per month) for candidates relocating.
