This position primarily assists physicians in the examination and treatment of patients by performing delegated duties, including interviewing patients, measuring and recording vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms. The role also involves cross-training to enhance efficiency, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily clinic operations in a fast-paced OBGYN office.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program and hold current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), along with CPR certification; current RN or LPN licensure is also acceptable. Required technical skills include EKG, injections, venipuncture, and performing common lab tests, with up to one year of experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred.

This position assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of physician. This position also interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts, and prepares treatment rooms for examinations of patients. The position will be cross trained to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care; work cooperatively within the team concept demonstrating flexibility, motivation and commitment to quality patient care. This position’s tasks include patient related duties, medical record, maintenance/documentation, and safety/environmental duties.
