The LPTA administers physical therapy treatments to inpatient and outpatient patients under the direction of Physical Therapists. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, completing discharge summaries, and ensuring all ordered treatments are performed.
Candidates must hold a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant and an active PTA license along with BLS certification. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks is required.
