The role involves assisting patients and families through their episode of care by emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, while delegating, overseeing, and providing quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care. Essential functions include using a Family Centered approach, assessing needs, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care using Evidence-Based Practices, and ensuring clinic compliance.
Candidates must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, possess a Registered Nurse license in Ohio, and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred, and completion of a BSN within five years of the start date is required, along with preferred pediatric clinical experience.
Contingent position. Typically following orientation to the clinic, it is typically 3-4 times a month. 8 hour day, 8a-430p
Summary: Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.
Essential Functions: Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff. Education Requirement: Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure Requirement: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
