include preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs, documenting complaints, medications, and allergies, performing EKGs, and administering treatments and medications. The role also involves promoting healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education while providing compassionate, patient-family-centered care.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and meet one of several educational/experience requirements, such as completing an accredited MA program, being an LPN, or having one year of recent Medical Assistant experience with certification. Required certifications include CPR/BLS upon hire, and MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is generally required or must be obtained within one year.
Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift position. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, no weekends or holidays required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
