The Pharmacist ensures the safe, effective, and financially responsible use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection, dosage design, administration, and therapy monitoring services within the Medical Center. Key duties include clinical verification, leading operations like dispensing and inventory, resolving patient barriers, and collaborating with providers for timely, coordinated care.
A Bachelor's Degree is required, although a Pharm.D. from an ACPE accredited college is preferred; no prior experience is explicitly required for the minimum qualifications. Candidates must possess a Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License and American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.

Onboarding Requirements Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
