The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They are responsible for positioning patients, following departmental protocols, and maintaining equipment quality control.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an accredited MRI school, with ARRT or ARMRIT registration required within 12 months. Two years of healthcare experience is preferred, along with proficiency in MRI safety and communication.
Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required. Cleans examination surfaces between patients. Provides clean linen including sheets, gowns, pillowcases, and towels. Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions. Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
