As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA), you will provide basic care to patients, assist them with daily activities, and administer medications while accurately recording all related documentation. You are also responsible for monitoring patients for changes and promptly reporting these observations to the nursing team.
Candidates must be certified in the State of Indiana and have successfully completed the required Resident Care Assistant, Medication Assistant Training, the 60-hour QMA course, and the 40-hour practicum, passing the necessary exam. Additional requirements include meeting all qualifications for a Nurse Assistant and having proven experience as a resident care assistant, preferably in long-term care.
