About the role

The Registered Nurse will perform patient triage, conduct comprehensive assessments, and carry out physician orders in a fast-paced emergency setting. They are also responsible for medication management, laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure patient safety.

Description Ascent Emergency Medical Center located near the Texas Medical Center is seeking experienced Full-Time Emergency Medicine Registered Nurses to join our AM Matrix team.

Responsibilities

Triage patients accurately to ensure timely and appropriate care. Perform comprehensive assessments on adult, pediatric, obstetric, and geriatric patients. Carry out physician orders within the scope of practice. Recognize and respond to medical emergencies. Conduct laboratory testing and report results. Maintain accurate documentation throughout patient treatment. Participate in Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient safety and quality care. Stay up to date with medications, administration protocols, and emergency procedures. Oversee medication management, including narcotic reconciliation. Assist with supply oversight and management.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current Texas RN license in good standing. Minimum two years of ER experience (Adult and Pediatric required). ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (must be current). Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high-acuity environment. Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.
