This role involves independently performing respiratory therapy general and critical care procedures according to physician orders and departmental guidelines, including obtaining and analyzing blood gases. Responsibilities also include initiating, monitoring, and managing patients on all types of mechanical ventilation and airways, alongside accurate documentation and patient/family education.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, holding at least an Associate's Degree (or equivalent diploma/experience), and must possess a South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Experience treating patients of all ages, including infants and pediatrics, is required, along with current BLS certification and maintenance of NBRC credentials.
