This role performs core functions of the credentialing lifecycle, including initial appointments, reappointments, data collection, primary source verification, privileging, and file maintenance for medical and allied health staff. Responsibilities also involve supporting provider onboarding, maintaining knowledge of relevant regulations, and assisting with the medical staff database while ensuring strict confidentiality.
The preferred education includes a High School Diploma/GED or an Associate's/Technical Degree, along with two years of experience in a medical staff services department or related setting. A mandatory requirement for this position is holding the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification from NAMSS.
