The Clinical Dietitian plans and provides medical nutrition therapy and client education for inpatients and outpatients across all age groups, conducting individualized assessments and implementing appropriate therapy approaches. This role involves providing advanced nutrition support, communicating recommendations to physicians, documenting patient progress, and developing educational materials for patients and staff.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required, or four years of equivalent experience for those who graduated before January 1, 2024, with a Master's degree required for new RDs graduating after that date. Candidates must complete an ADA-approved internship and obtain Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) status within 90 days of hire, possessing strong interpersonal and keyboarding skills.
Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Must successfully complete orientation and competency for position.
