The Mental Health Professional will provide therapeutic interventions for mental health and substance use disorders, educate individuals on treatment and recovery, and develop crisis management and relapse prevention plans. They will also create individualized plans of care, assist with discharge planning, and provide after-hours emergency coverage and crisis intervention as needed.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and should be pursuing Limited Permit or licensure, with active licensure preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and basic computer proficiency are also required.
$61,000 - $68,000 annually
Spanish or Creole Bilingual candidates are eligible for a pay differential.
The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Critical Time Intervention (CTI) program serving adults with co-occurring behavioral health and physical health needs who frequent ED/inpatient settings. The Mental Health Professional completes care management-related tasks. Additionally, they resolve clinical and rehabilitative needs, when within the scope of practice, that impact the individual’s ability to meet recovery goals.
This is a Mandated Reporter position. The NYS Justice Center legislation defines anyone who has regular and substantial contact with any person with special needs as a “custodian” under the law and, therefore, a mandated reporter. You can be held liable by both the civil and criminal legal systems for intentionally failing to make a report.
