The Oncology Clinical Social Worker delivers psychological and social work interventions to patients and families to eliminate psychosocial barriers hindering the treatment process. This role involves providing support services to meet individual patient needs, coordinating treatment, maximizing functional levels, and enhancing quality of life and recovery.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health discipline emphasizing clinical experience. Required qualifications include three years of post-Master's experience in the mental health field, one year working with oncology patients, and current LCSW or LPC licensure, along with CPR certification.

The Oncology Clinical Social Worker provides a wide variety of psychological and social work interventions to center's patients, families, and significant others. These services have been developed to remove any psychosocial barriers, which inhibit the treatment process. Provides support services to patients in order to meet the individual needs of the patients, to coordinate treatment, to assist the client with achieving the best possible functional level, to maximize symptom self-management and to enhancing quality of life and recovery. Provides crisis intervention, distress screening, risk assessments and connect patients to community resources.
REQUIRED: Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related mental health discipline with an emphasis on clinical experience. Three years experience past Master’s in the mental health field. One year of experience working with oncology patients Licensed as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) Must be CPR certified. PREFERRED: Prior clinical experience providing outpatient mental health or inpatient psychiatric services. Specialized training in cancer care through continued education and on the job experience Work Hours: 8a-4:30p
