The role involves assisting with patient examination and treatment under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider, which includes interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms. Responsibilities also cover basic clerical duties like answering phones, maintaining records, scheduling, and assisting with materials management.
Candidates must be graduates of a medical assisting school or hold an EMT/Paramedic/LPN license in Wisconsin, with a High School diploma/GED required; no prior experience is mandatory for applicants excited about the opportunity. A required certification includes Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) from the AHA, along with one of several recognized Medical Assistant certifications.
