The Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the operating suite is adequately prepared and maintaining a safe, clean environment in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Essential duties include performing all aspects of patient care, efficiently executing the scrub role, maintaining aseptic technique, and participating in efficient room turnover activities.
Candidates must have successfully completed a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program and hold or obtain certification (CST or TS-C) within 90 days of hire, maintaining it throughout employment. Additionally, certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support is required upon hire or shortly thereafter, alongside effective English communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
