The Interventional Radiology Tech is responsible for producing optimal images and assisting physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They ensure patient safety and comfort while managing workflow and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiological Technologist Program. A minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience is required, along with ARRT certification.
Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required. Cleans examination surfaces between patients. Provides clean linen including sheets, gowns, pillowcases, and towels. Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions. Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in certification OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and currently registered by ARRT.
1 year of Interventional Radiology experience. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
