The Housekeeper is responsible for performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks throughout the hospital, ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards. This includes managing waste, laundry, and responding to urgent sanitation needs.
Candidates should have previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare settings, and must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods is also required.

Position: Housekeeping Department: Facilities Reports To: Director of Operations over Stonewall County Hospital District. Job Duties: 1. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, including beds, furniture, and fixtures. Ensure surfaces, floors, and walls are clean, sanitized, and free from debris, stains, or odors. 2. Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to hand hygiene protocols. Pay special attention to high-touch surfaces and areas to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections. 3. Waste Management: Handle and dispose of medical waste, trash, and soiled linens in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines. Maintain proper separation and containment of different types of waste. 4. Linen and Laundry Management: Collect, sort, and launder linens, including bed sheets, towels, gowns, and blankets. Ensure an adequate supply of clean and folded linens is available for patient use. 5. Public Areas and Waiting Rooms: Clean and maintain public areas such as waiting rooms, lobbies, corridors, and restrooms. Regularly restock supplies, including paper towels, soap, and toilet paper. 6. Equipment and Supply Inventory: Monitor and restock housekeeping supplies, including cleaning agents, disinfectants, and equipment. Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. 7. Emergency Response: Assist during emergency situations, such as spills, accidents, or natural disasters, by promptly cleaning up and disinfecting affected areas. 8.
