This role performs core credentialing functions including initial appointments, reappointments, data collection, primary source verification, privileging, and file maintenance for medical and allied health staff. Responsibilities also involve supporting provider onboarding, maintaining knowledge of relevant policies, and assisting with the medical staff database while ensuring strict confidentiality.
The primary requirement is holding the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification from NAMSS. Preferred qualifications include a High School Education/GED or equivalent, an Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent experience, and two years of experience in a medical staff services department or related setting.
