The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients from infant through geriatric stages by utilizing the nursing process, performing technical functions, and upholding professional standards. Essential duties include patient assessment, administering medications and blood products, patient education, and acting as a patient advocate within the healthcare team.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate or Bachelor degree, holding a Louisiana State Board of Nursing License and current CPR certification; ACLS and PALS are preferred. Preferred experience includes one year as an RN, current clinical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate and manage complex equipment.
