What you will do
Performs radiologic and other requested examinations on assigned patients. Determines technical and positioning factors and positions patient for exam. Determines and selects proper radiographic factors in order to minimize radiation exposure.
Explains procedures to patients and answers any questions or concerns.
Collects specimens for drug screens and performs Blood Alcohol Tests and CLIA-waived tests.
Performs patient intake activities, including checking and recording vital signs.
Provides ongoing patient assessment through observation of patient and records; reports findings accurately and on time.
Assists in the development of others through guidance and teaching. Promotes professional practice of all members of the radiological services team.
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment. Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions.
Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Candidates must possess a Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology and have 1-3 years of Rad Tech experience. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (AHA), Breath Alcohol Technician, DOT Urine Specimen Collector, and Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), along with Tennessee X-Ray Operator licensure.
