About the role

Provide direct pediatric patient care including rooming, taking vital signs, and administering vaccinations. Manage clinical documentation, authorizations, and patient communications via phone and portal.

Summary of responsibility

The LPN for SoNE HEALTH Medical Group Pediatrics will provide direct patient care and support for the team. Responsibilities for this role will encompass a wide range of clinical tasks, including patient rooming, vital signs, vaccinations and in-office testing.

This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

This position is in Enfield, CT.

Essential functions

Monitor nurse line & respond to clinical calls.

Obtain medication and radiology authorizations.

Complete physical forms, school medication forms, disability paperwork, & all other clinical documentation & forms as needed for patients.

Monitor incoming patient portal messages & return patient calls, as delegated by provider.

Follow up with referrals to ensure patient has been contacted.

Prepare & process order forms for patient nebulizers monthly.

Prepare & give vaccinations.

Maintain eyewash station per policies & protocol including testing, cleaning, & reporting.

Other duties/small projects as delegated by the Practice Manager or Provider, within the employee’s legal & personal capabilities.

Qualifications

And competencies:

  • Active LPN License in CT
  • 2 years primary care office experience preferred

  • Busy work environment subject to frequent interruptions and shifting potentially conflicting priorities.
