Administers anesthesia to patients rendering them insensitive to pain during surgery. Monitors the patient's physical reaction to the anesthetic and informs the physician of any adverse condition. Administers emergency measures when complications arise.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an institution of higher learning accredited by an organization recognized by the board of regents.
Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
Current, valid certificate of registration.
Written practice protocol consistent with section 4760.09 of the Revised Code.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through American Red Cross are required.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
