What You'll Do Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, including medication administration, IV titrations, monitoring, ventilator management, treatments, and procedures.
Assesses and documents patient conditions, recognizes changes, reviews test results, and communicates critical findings to guide the plan of care.
Responds to emergencies (RRT, Code Blue/White), advocates for patients, and makes appropriate referrals to address clinical, social, or safety concerns.
Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team, delegates care appropriately, provides leadership, and educates patients and families on treatment and discharge plans.
Delivers compassionate, evidence-based care while ensuring compliance with nursing standards, infection control, HIPAA, pain management, and cultural sensitivity.
Required Qualifications: Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California One (1) year of critical care or completion of a 6-week critical care training course. MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF RN KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of an Accredited Professional School of Nursing AHA Basic Life Support AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekend, and holidays Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
Candidates must possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California and have at least one year of critical care experience or completion of a 6-week critical care training course. Required certifications include AHA Basic Life Support and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support, along with the ability to work variable night shifts.
