The Ophthalmic Medical Assistant supports physicians by performing patient evaluations, diagnostic testing, and documenting medical history in the EMR. They also assist with minor office procedures, maintain exam equipment, and provide support during surgical procedures in the OR.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of the AAO Independent Study Course within the last three years. At least one year of ophthalmic trainee experience is required, and the candidate must be willing to sit for the COA exam within 18 months of hire.
Join EANM as an NNM-Ophthalmic Technician I, and support physicians with patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. This role requires completion of the AAO Independent Study Course and at least one year of ophthalmic trainee experience. You’ll work directly with patients, families, and providers while helping protect the physician’s time through preparation and follow-up care.
