The Surgical Tech Sr will assist in coordinating day-to-day activities in the assigned Service Line and ensure effective communication among staff and patients. They will also take a leading role in orienting new staff and improving performance outcomes.
Candidates must have good organizational skills, acute care experience, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a Surgical Tech Certificate and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the assigned Service Line.
Your Role on the Team
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, will actively assist in coordination of the day-to-day activities in the assigned Service Line. The Coordinator takes a leading role in servicing orienting new staff, performance improvement, scheduling, and working with physicians for improved outcome, and precepts new employees. The Technical Coordinator ensures effective communication with the physicians, circulating nurses, surgical technicians, ancillary staff, and patients to maintain an environment conducive to the patients well-being.
What It Takes to be Successful
Good Organizational Skills Acute Care Experience BLS Certification from American Heart Association. Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Surgical Tech Certificate Minimum 5 years experience in Service Line assigned to Graduate from Accredited Surgical Tech Program Completion of medical terminology class or knowledge of medical terms. Computer knowledge High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
