The technologist performs standard Nuclear Medicine responsibilities plus advanced tasks like therapies, dual modality NM/CT, and Lymphoscintigraphy, while adhering to all quality control and safety standards prescribed by regulatory agencies. Duties also include conducting general Nuclear Medicine imaging, managing radiopharmaceuticals, operating equipment, and providing patient education.
Candidates must possess a Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or a related field, along with CNMT certification or ARRT RT registry. Registry-eligible graduates must obtain full ARRT or CNMT registration within one year of hire, and must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within two years of hire.
