Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program, with experience as a radiation therapist preferred. Required licensure includes ARRT registration in radiation therapy (or eligibility upon hire) and obtaining CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES Possesses core knowledge of required Radiation Therapist functions, including scheduling, simulation, patient set-up, and treatment.
Demonstrates a functional knowledge of all major components of department equipment.
Delivers external beam treatments in an accurate and timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy.
Assesses and addresses patient's needs while under treatment.
Accurate and timely completion of patient charts according to established standards and procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of standard and advanced treatment calculations and treatment plans.
Designs and fabricates blocks accurately and efficiently.
Performs Simulation with a high degree of accuracy in a timely fashion with little or no supervision.
