About the role

The Veterinary Medical Oncologist will join 24/7 Emergency and Multi-Specialty teams in Mandeville and New Orleans, providing collaborative, team-oriented patient care alongside specialists and trained technicians. Responsibilities include utilizing advanced diagnostics and treatments available at the state-of-the-art facilities and potentially training rotating interns, specialty interns, and residents.

MedVet is looking for a Veterinary Medical Oncologist for our 24/7 Emergency and Multi-Specialty teams at our Mandeville and New Orleans hospitals. We provide a collaborative atmosphere and a team-oriented approach to patient care. The healthcare team includes great clinical services team members (our well-trained technicians) and medical leaders who understand what it takes to build a successful organization.

  • the-art hospital less than two miles from our current location which will more than double our current clinical space. If you like training and working with House Officers, you will love our energetic group of rotating interns, specialty interns, and residents who work with our team to provide exceptional care. We also train new ER doctors through our profession-leading Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program. You will also work alongside our 2 Mandeville surgery residents as they support our training programs for the greater New Orleans area. The hospital has a highly trained ICU nursing team and is equipped with on-site digital radiology, fluoroscopy, I-131, ultrasound, CT, laparoscopy, endoscopy, and in-house labs. Work seamlessly alongside other ER doctors and specialists with our 24/7 sister hospital less than 30 min away in New Orleans to deliver specialty services in Critical Care, Radiology, and Neurology & Neurosurgery. We are able to provide our patients with all of the advanced diagnostics and treatments that hospital has to offer, including MRI, dialysis, and plasmapheresis.
