The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process and participates in achieving clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
An Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school is required, with a BSN strongly preferred. A Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification are mandatory, with some departments requiring ACLS or PALS.

Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program. Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served. Ability to analyze data, to synthesize and summarize information and to make judgements regarding patient care. MINIMUM
For specialty areas, related experience and qualifications may be required. EDUCATION: Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.
