About the role

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is primarily responsible for performing laboratory testing on patient samples, covering preanalytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases. This role also includes responsibility for quality control, equipment maintenance, and all associated reporting and documentation.

Work Location: Orange, California

Work Shift: Night – 08hrs (United States of America)

Job Summary

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist PD is a Licensed Medical Technologist whose primary responsibility is to perform laboratory testing on patients samples. In this capacity, the CLS performs the preanalytical, analytical and post analytical and is responsible for quality control, equipment maintenance and all reporting and documentation.

Pay Range

Minimum $59.00 Midpoint $59.00 Maximum $60.00

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience • Required

  • Minimum six months of Clinical Laboratory experience.
  • Preferred: Two years of Clinical Laboratory experience. Education
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. Special Skills
  • Required: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficient computer skills. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Licensure
  • Required: Clinical Lab Scientist- CA (CLS); Limited Licensed CLS may be accepted in lieu of a General CLS.
  • Preferred: American Society of Clinical Pathology.
