The primary duties involve obtaining specimens, ensuring they are correctly identified, accessioned, and distributed according to department standards and hospital procedures. This role also encompasses clerical and courier functions as assigned.
Candidates must complete high school or equivalent, possess phlebotomy training from a licensed program, and hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Certification by ASCP is desirable.
Obtains specimens, identifying, accessioning and distributing them
within department standards and hospital policies and procedures.
Phlebotomy, clerical and courier functions as assigned. High level of
confidentiality required.
Qualifications: Completion of high school or equivalent (plus certification by ASCP
desirable). Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Phlebotomy training from a Licensed Program.
