The technologist is responsible for verifying patient information, interpreting scanning instructions, assessing risks, and safely administering contrast media via IV or orally. Duties also include preparing and operating CT scan equipment, performing quality assurance on images, and ensuring proper data transfer to PACS.
Candidates must have graduated from an approved School of Radiology Technology and possess at least one year of CT experience or successful completion of a cross-training program. Required certifications include being registry eligible with ARRT in CT within twelve months of hire, holding a Montana Radiologic Technologist permit, and maintaining BLS certification.
