The technologist is responsible for verifying patient information, correctly interpreting scanning instructions, assessing patient risks, and administering contrast media via IV or orally. They must prepare and operate CT scan equipment, perform quality assurance on images, and ensure proper transfer to PACS while adhering to radiation safety principles.
Candidates must be a graduate from an approved School of Radiology Technology and either have one year of CT experience or successfully complete a cross-training program. Required licensure includes being registry eligible with ARRT in Computed Tomography within twelve months of hire and holding a current Montana Radiologic Technologist permit, along with maintaining BLS certification.
