The Registered Nurse maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to all patients. This involves identifying patient needs through assessment, planning and delegating care, and evaluating the patient’s response to treatment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Alabama or Multistate nursing license. Required certifications include BLS obtained during orientation and ACLS obtained within the first six months of employment.
Education required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current Experience: Required Additional skills/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Must have knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
