The RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities through assessment, planning, and delegating care based on those needs. The role requires evaluating patient responses to care and ensuring progress toward expected outcomes, holding accountability for patient care outcomes during the assigned shift.
Candidates must be graduates of an Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure; prior experience is preferred, but new graduates are accepted. Required certifications include BLS before orientation completion and ACLS within one year of hire.
Overview The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
