Direct Support Professionals empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve personal and developmental goals, including budgeting, nutrition, and community involvement. Responsibilities also include supporting daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication assistance, personal care, and championing community inclusion.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School Diploma or GED, though five years of documented caregiving experience can substitute for education. A valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, and successful background check clearance are mandatory.
