The Pediatric Social Worker will join the interdisciplinary team to provide supportive services addressing the social, emotional, and financial needs of patients and families impacted by life-limiting illness, loss, and grief. Key duties include assessing patient/family coping abilities, evaluating caregiver capacity for providing care, offering individual and family counseling related to end-of-life care, and supporting siblings appropriately.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited school or a Master's in a mental health discipline, along with a minimum of one year of social work experience in a healthcare setting. Experience working with pediatric patients and families is preferred, and Pediatric ELNEC certification is required within the first year.
