The Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing medical care as delegated by OrthoCarolina physician(s), which includes assisting the physician in the clinic seeing patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries and illnesses. Essential functions involve examining patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing therapeutic procedures like injections and wound care, and managing immobilization devices.
Candidates must be a graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant program and hold current North Carolina licensure and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior experience as a physician assistant is required, and prior experience in orthopedics is preferred.
