The Physician Assistant will provide medical care delegated by physicians, which includes assisting in office and hospital settings, running independent clinics for orthopedic injuries, assisting in surgery, and performing emergency room and floor consultations. Essential functions involve examining patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing therapeutic procedures like injections and wound care, and developing patient management plans.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA accredited physician assistant program and hold current North Carolina PA licensure, along with certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior experience as a physician assistant or in orthopedics is preferred but not mandatory.
