The physician will provide palliative care for children facing chronic, complex, or life-threatening conditions, including in utero diagnoses, across clinic, hospital, and long-term care settings. Responsibilities also include comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluations, meticulous symptom management, and serving as a clinical and educational role model.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics, along with being Board Certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Applicants must also possess current, unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe medications and be eligible to work in the United States.
Provide palliative care for children facing chronic, complex and/or life-threatening conditions and their families in the clinic, hospital, long-term care facility, or home. Provide palliative care for mothers whose babe has been diagnosed with chronic, complex and/or life-threatening condition in utero and their families in the hospital or clinic. Participate in comprehensive medical and psychosocial evaluation of patients and families, skilled and meticulous symptom management, and discharge planning and continuity of care. Serve as clinical and educational role model and mentor. Provide care and support in collaboration with the primary care team. Ensure compliance with practice standards and codes.
