Liquid Personnel is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide short-term cover within the Reablement Team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy services to adults with care and support needs, supporting their independence and wellbeing in the community. You will play a key role in assessments, care planning, and interventions that enable individuals to live more independently, while working closely with colleagues across health and social care.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Undertake occupational therapy assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote independence and daily living skills
  • Advise, teach, and support individuals and carers in overcoming disability and maximising independence
  • Recommend and provide equipment (standard and specialist) and advise on home adaptations
  • Liaise with colleagues in health, social care, and partner agencies to ensure coordinated support
  • Supervise and support OT Assistants and students as required
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, professional standards, and Council policies
  • Commit to safeguarding adults and uphold the Council’s Equality Policy

Qualifications

& Experience:

  • Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Experience in a health or social care community setting
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload, prioritising effectively
  • Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel within Southampton
