We have exciting opportunities for experienced social workers to join our Duty and Assessment team at Liverpool Children’s Services. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site as needed. You will be part of a supportive and welcoming team committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Liverpool.

What will your responsibilities be?

• In this role, you will respond to referrals and undertake assessments within set timescales.
• You will identify needs and work with children and families to provide support and implement plans.
• You will handle section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning.
• You will collaborate with professionals to support children and their families.
• You will manage cases involving children on child in need plans for short-term periods until step down or step up to ICPC, at which point cases transfer to the longer-term assessment service.

Requirements

• You need a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a social worker.
• You must have completed ASYE.
• You should have experience working with children and families in a safeguarding setting.
• You need knowledge and skills in dealing with section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• You must be able to work both from home and the office (3 days a week in Liverpool, full week on-site during duty week).
• It is essential that you are a car driver and have access to a vehicle.
