About the role

The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic and evaluates inpatient wounds, communicating changes in patient condition or treatment response to physicians and co-workers. Duties include cleaning, bandaging, debriding wounds, providing diabetic foot care, and developing individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

The Scheduler routinely schedules and coordinates patient appointments with provider, manages flow of information to physicians, nursing staff, therapists, clerical staff, etc. as necessary to maintain operations, and prioritizes workload to facilitate efficient flow of information messages. The Scheduler also works with coworkers, other departments and outside companies, assisting with the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Position requires a high degree of collaboration and customer service with both internal and external customers. 2. A minimum of 6 months previous scheduling/patient intake experience in a healthcare setting required. 3. Ability to read, write and speak English required.4. Strong basic computer skills required. 5. Courteous and professional communication skills required to interact with internal and external customers. 6. Strong clerical and organizational skills needed to perform record keeping and scheduling duties.7. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.8. BLS (AHA) certification preferred9. Requirements

Candidates must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license and BCLS certification upon hire, with a minimum of one year of RN experience required. Previous acute care hospital experience and wound care knowledge are preferred, and a Wound Care Certification must be obtained within the first year.
