The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides quality imaging services while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. They assist radiologists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and manage the processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Candidates must have completed an accredited school of study in Nuclear Medicine and hold a state license. A current BLS certificate and registry eligibility or accreditation by the NMTCB or ARRT are required.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.2. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.3. At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred4. Current BLS (AHA) certificate required. 5. Minimum requirement-Registry eligible and within 90 days of hire date accredited, or actively accredited by the NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) required. 6. Must complete an accredited school of study in Nuclear Medicine7.
